The Somers continue their mission of bringing Bennett works to modern day with this fine edition of a piece originally written for the Sagul Trio in 1947. Each of the five movements is built upon an exotic scale - Balinese, Ancient Chinese, Ancient Greek Hypophrygian, etc. Each scale is simply stated at the beginning of the movement, followed by Bennett's improvisation.
