All four short pieces in the present edition were composed as incidental music. Three of them, 'The Fog is Lifting', 'Faith and Hope are Playing' and 'The Children are Playing' were written for the festive play 'The Mother'......The fourth piece, the 'Flute Solo from Aladdin' belongs to the incidental music for the dramatic fairy tale 'Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp'.
