It is strange that there are no variations on a theme of the Magic Flute and this is the reason why, when I came across the work by Sarasate for violin and piano I got immediately to the idea to write a transcription. However, waht was meant ot be just a transciption became, for musical issues, a real rethinking of the orginal compositions's structure so that I had to recreate from scratch different parts, both for flute and piano.
