Mel Orriss has produced two great arrangements of this iconic work. One is almost completely faithful to the original parts for solo flute and harp and uses the choir to replicate the orchestral accompaniment. The other version splits the harp writing between the flutes and has a more independance between them throughout. Either way this is a great way to discover the beauty of the writing of Vaughan Williams and perhaps prepare to play the real thing eventually!

Featuring possibly one of the most famous flute solos, this is a faithful arrangement of Vaughan Williams' richly textured English orchestral piece which combines Greensleeves and the more robust folk tune Lovely Joan. As in the original, all parts get an opportunity for a melody. This arrangement was commissioned in memory of the flautist and teacher, Peter Lloyd.
