Fauré’s celebrated Élégie for Cello has been gracefully and elegantly adapted by Mark Sparks, principal flute of the Saint Louis Symphony. Transposed to D minor to maximize richness and sparkle, flutists now have a “new” work by Fauré in the repertoire.
