“More lovely Mercadante!”
This is a beautiful work by Sevaro Mercadante. It's also very useful. It has three movements which are substantial enough to be challenging but not so long as to be dauntting. The key is G major which enables the virtuoso writing to become approachable, and the interest is shared equally between the two players. Each movement would stand alone and could make a really good concert or festival piece. As always with Edition Kossack, it's excellently produced, with a score and separate parts and a lovely cover. I think you will enjoy this one!
