A highly expressive work for an exceptional and very rare flute quartet ensemble. Two canzones, symbolizing Yin and Yang, merge into one. Michael's number and sound symbolism in this composition refers to butterflies, moths, admirals. A microcosm of time emerges as a description of a timeless situation when an admiral sat on the composer's hand for over half an hour: inner peace and movement at the same time. A complex, technically demanding work.
