Ivanovici's Waves of the Danube is a really upbeat number which three flutes and piano will have great fun playing. The parts could be doubled and are structured so that the first flute is the most difficult. This makes it ideal for mixed ability groups, even more so as the accompaniment could also be played by a student. Add in the possiblity of adding guitars and drums and you have a very flexible and useful arrangement which is great for concerts - a real crowd pleaser!
