This is a really happy piece and a joy to play. It has all the ingredients you need: an upbeat theme, expressive interludes and a virtuoso style ending. All the parts are equal too, so no-one feels left out. Coloratura will work very well with C flutes but if you do have a piccolo that will add even more colour. A winner for sure!
Coloratura means elaborated melody in Italian. Please enjoy personalising this work and applying it to yourselves as the song follows a course of events. Since Coloratura is so lyrical, it shoud be good for concerts or contests and for sectional practice as well.
