As we all know, Bill Holcombe is a great arranger so it will come as no surprise to find that this upbeat tune by Henry Fillmore is another winner. It's not easy (4 flats modulate seamlessly to 5) but the Circus Bee buzzes along at a great pace in a real Amercican romping style. Top B flats have to be negotiated but there is a good balance between rhythmic unity and independent writing and so everyone should be satisfied. It works best with the accompaniment and if you add some drums as well you can have a real party!
