The lower part (tenor sax) is the easier part; generally varying between grade 2 to grade 4, the middle part (alto sax 2) uses mainly mid register notes and is suited to players of around grade 2 to 5 level. The upper part (alto sax 1, or soprano 1) has more technical gymnastics (and generally uses more upper middle range, and a few palm key notes) and is aimed at grade 4 to 6 players. The styles range from traditional arrangements (God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, The First Noel, and Ukrainian Folk Carol), through to more original adaptations; I Saw Three Ships (in 7/8), The Wassail Swing, See Amid The Winter's Snow, and O Come O Come Emmanuel.
