"The Chase" is a fun, energetic romp for two bassoons and piano. Inspired by watching ducks and geese chasing each other around a park, "The Chase" will keep all three players busy with pointillistic figures, delightfully disjointed melodic lines, and driving rhythmic figures. Originally composed for a larger, multi-movement work entitled "The Duck Park Suite," this lighthearted trio stands alone and is a great finale to any recital. ?The Chase? is sure to send the audience and performers away happy...and perhaps with a newfound waddle in their step!
