Needs a large flute choir of 4 piccolos, 6 C flutes, alto and bass flute.
In order to perform this piece, a large flute orchestra is required. Not only must there be 6 picccolo players, but each of these parts should be at least doubled. The contrabass flute is entirely optional and should not be substituted.
