This is one of those pieces that gradually persuades you that you would really like to be able to perform it! The flute and the electronic recording fuse into a rich diversity of sound and colour which is completely captivating. The score is relatively straightforward to follow with the CD but it's quite another thing to be able to play along yourself. If you're not a contemporary specialist though you will at least have fun trying!
Flute and Electronic Background on CD. This piece presents a co-existence of flute sounds in the live instrument part with transformed sounds borrowed from the natural environment in the electronic sounds part. The musical context combines timbres resulting from particular flute techniques with sound behaviours deriving from the elaboration of environmental recordings (rain, wind, birds, insects etc).
