Carnival of the Animals is one of the most popular works by Saint-Saëns. After Romance Op37 and Odelette Op162, Werner Richer now presents two movements from the Carnival in rearranged versions for flute and piano. The Aviary is the showpiece for the flutist, whereas The Swan is originally a cello piece and has been transposed an octave to keep the cello character.
