The oratorio Salomo was written in the summer of 1748 and premiered on March 17, 1749. An effective piece, especially at the beginning of a quartet program. Apart from a few baroque triad breaks, the piece presents no significant technical difficulties. (For flute orchestra version see chapter 5 and more flutes)
