This is one of Taffanel's original transcriptions and, as you might expect, is lovely. A simple E major melody starts in the low register, develops through some exotic keys to a high note climax. The control of both pitch and colour is essential to a successful perfomance and as such this is a great introduction to music of this period. If you love Taffanel then this is for you.
