“Adventurous pieces for flute quartet”
Water and Wind are extremely well depicted in these interesting pieces by Anze Rozman. 'Aqua' is all flowing semiquavers starting at a trickle and building up to quite a fast river flow before dying away. 'Ventus' uses vocal shushes to start off the wind noises. You'll need 2 dextrous piccolo players as well as flute players for this as the writing is all fast triplet figures for everyone. There is some scope for creative playing in the quieter central scetion before this piece builds before also dying away. Nothing ventured, nothing gained and this is a great place to start a real adventure!
