Composed for double reeds and contrabass in 2002, the work was later arranged for woodwind sextet. As I was entering university I wrote eight songs for the ensemble contest of my alma mater, Choshi High School. I was so determined with this project that I said to myself "I'll make everything about these songs great!" As the title suggests, it has a retro feel of woodwinds, and it turned out to be a heartwarming song. I think this sextet version is even richer in color than the original.
