“Charming!”
This charming piece by the unfamiliar Henri Rabaut is dedicated to Gaubert and it's easy to see why. The Andante has a sweep of a melody which is expertly passed between the two instruments and the Scherzetto fizzes along with energy and pizzazz. It's all very French, very Gaubert and very lovely!
