Rich and vibrant, the Amadeus Alto flute brings a new twist to this tenor voice. Encompassing everything from mellow, warm tones to rich, sonorous vibrancy. At home in the orchestra, flute choir, or in the demanding hands of the soloist, the smooth, ergonomic mechanism, excellent scale and even color throughout the octaves will empower every level of flutist to relish the subtle strength of playing low.
This new alto flute in Haynes's Amadeus range bolsters their reputation for good quality instruments at an affordable price. The specially-designed high lip-plate gives the lower harmonics a boost, meaning a beefy low register and fuller top register.
William S. Haynes first established his name as a flute maker through his dedication to exacting detail in every instrument that left his workshop. Then, in 1913, he created a breakthrough in design that set Haynes flutes even more above the rest. This breakthrough, which resulted in a patent, corrected a design flaw that had troubled flutemakers and players up until that time. Through a combination of classic detailed hand-craftsmanship and innovation in design and technique, Haynes set a standard that prevails to this day at the flute workshop that still bears his name.
