“Funky music for 7 flutes!”
This is such a good piece but be warned - it doesn't play itself! There are some tricky corners and you'll need good piccolo and bass flute players to really bring life to the performance. There is an effective slow central section full of rhythmic inflections and jazz harmonies, and key slaps add an approachable contemporary edge. Manage all this and you'll be rewarded with a funky piece that everyone will love!
