These pieces are not for the faint-hearted but will reward those who appreciate the talents of Tim Murray, who is not only a very fine pianist but an accomplished composer as well. A Leap of Faith is challenging for both players with a constantly changing meter encompassing rhythmic complexities and a fluid harmonic structure. The 3 Lullabies (Nocturne, Song and Lullaby) contain haunting melodies with sparse accompaniments, which make for a very atmospheric musical experience. You won't be singing these tunes in the bath but these pieces are really worth playing.
