Written in 1911 and dedicated to Hennebains, this piece is absolutely in the mould of the classic French flute pieces from the early twentieth century. However the distinctive Morrocan influence seen in the title makes it just a bit different, adding a little something extra to the character. It's still a lovely example of the virtuoso style though, so in the unlikely event you tire of Taffanel and Gaubert, give this a try instead!
