I know there are cheaper study books around containing Garibaldi and Kohler studies but somehow this has all the really good ones. Ranging from the simple to the fairly tricky, the presentation makes them all look playable and enjoyable. An extravagance but nice.
These studies have been composed by two virtuoso flautists, and provide a suitable continuation to the two flute methods also published by Éditions Lemoine. Students are gradually guided through every aspect of flute technique, including legato, staccato and flexibility when tackling wide intervals. The final aim is for the technique to become second nature, thus allowing music to come to the fore, so that the student feels completely at ease in performing.
