“Piccolo thumbport”The thumbport did not fit my old Hammig piccolo.It fitted onto the body of the instrument but interfered with the mechanism at the back. I had to modify it in order to make it fit in-between the bits of mechanism. It is now doing a good job stabilising the piccolo whilst I work on top octave fingerings. Couldn't do the Verdi Requiem without it.
“An essential piece of kit!”I guess most flute players suffer from at least some anxiety when picking up the piccolo. This thumb rest goes a very long way towards replacing anxiety with total confidence. I would never leave home without it!
