“Happy piccolo player!”This is my third piccolo stand, and my second of this model. It is easy to carry, and easy to grab a piccolo when you need it. It is very stable, and to my mind, worth the extra width compared to the compact model for the extra stability.
The only problem is it is very easy for a non piccolo player to forget your instrument is there! The first stand died, when a clarinetist stepped on it! Luckily the piccolo was in my lap at the time. So it does its job well, but beware of other people forgetting about your prize piccolo in rehearsal breaks!
