“Légère American Cut Synthetic Tenor Saxophone Reed”excellent product, good sounding and much more consistent than wood, but a little bit stiffer than the Rico Royal reeds I usually use. I have heard you can boil it for 1 second, and then it becomes 0,25 softer. Haven't tried that yet
Thanks for the review. We wouldn't recommend boiling the reed as we don't know how this may affect the polymer structure of the reed. We would instead suggest trying a quarter-strength softer, as this may be closer to the resistance you are used to on your Rico Royal reed. The reed comparison charts on our website may help in choosing the best strength to try.
