“Grandson starting sax”My 10 year old grandson has just started learing Alto sax. The cane reed which he started with (1.5 strength) was not very good, particularly with low notes. Also, new was not particularly careful with playing the reed in and putting it away carefully. As I play fibrecell reeds on my tenor and know that they last 'forever' and play well,'straight out of the box', I think this is the ideal solution for a young sax player stating out.
