“Fab Tone Exercises!”I don't use this book for its intended purpose since discovering it last season. Instead, I start every lesson by getting pupils to (semi) sight read a piece as a tone exercise. The compositions are superb, and give the pupil nice long notes in beautiful melodies, -but with really interesting jazzy piano accompaniments. They get the sensation of playing a more advanced piece by virtue of the piano parts. It also introduces them to a lightly jazzy style. Gorgeous music in all these books.
