“Flexible scoring”This is a set of three pieces for any two instruments in the same key, and comes in two scores, treble/treble, and treble/bass (clefs). As in the sample given they use straightforward rhythms, are basically melodic and diatonic in style with some dissonances and chromaticism.
The pieces are functional but lacking in variety and I personally found the style somewhat depressing. I do not think that they would be much liked by the target audience (younger players) these days. Useful for sightreading, especially given the flexibility of scoring, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend.
Standard is easier than suggested, 3 or 3-4.
