Product Reviews: Chant de Linos for Flute and Piano

This is one of those pieces that you have to hear first as you probably wouldn't buy off the shelf from what's seen on the printed page. There are whole passages that are unplayable by someone like me, so it's a study-piece. I'm going to learn sections and stretch my ability. It's also great for giving ideas for improvisation, unexpected moves, chords, etc. And how did Mr Jolivet manage to compose this fantasy? One can only wonder - it's a masterpiece of creativity. Worth hearing Patrick Gallois' recording.
