“Funky flute”I have used this series to teach groups of beginners at Primary School. I like the colourful pages and the introduction of rhythm and opportunities for aural. However I use the teacher's book to accompany students as the CD can be quite fast for students at this stage. I also feel that the book introduces rhythms quickly and is slower at introducing new notes. I would prefer to begin students with longer notes to help them with breathing and tone so that they become more solid in these areas before a wider range of rhythm. I have decided to change from this book this year.
